Liquid Visions - 30 Paintings in 30 Days Alcohol Inks on Yupo January 27, 2014 Red in the Morning © Donna Pierce-Clark ~ Dennis and I love going to a lake, where he can fish, and where I can stand by the lapping shorelines and paint! When we were younger, we used to go boating and skiing. So, we would follow the sailor's old tales........ .........they always proved to be true! So, before planning our trips,  we always look at the sky, to see if it will be a nice day. The night before, if it's a red sky,...well, we pack 'er up! "Red at Night, Sailors Delight!" ~ If it's "Red in the Morning," we might not go. "Red in the Morning,  sailors take warning!"

Liquid Visions - 30 Paintings in 30 Days Alcohol Inks on Yupo January 24, 2014 Pink Delight © Donna Pierce-Clark ~ You would not have believed this "before" I totally  changed it! It was dark and truly just plain ugly! I wiped it. poured alcohol on it, tilted it, wiped it again, tilted it again, added more alcohol. Poor thing! Every painting goes through an ugly stage, but this one was the queen of ugly! I like it now. What do you think?

Liquid Visions - 30 Paintings in 30 Days Alcohol Inks on Yupo January 22, 2014 Navajo Lands © Donna Pierce-Clark There is an area near Page, AZ, where the slot canyons can be entered. They are glorious! They can be treacherous if one does not listen intently  to and follow the leading of a trained Navajo guide. Without warning, the rivers can quickly flood these canyons. The entrance to the slot canyons looks a lot like Navajo Lands . ~ Below are several photos we took of the inside of the canyons. Carved by the movement of water......... ~ ~ Just unbelievably gorgeous! The sun pours down through the narrow opening at the top of the canyon. ~ Here, you can see the back of Brian's head (white hat)  and Dennis, looking up! A little perspective for you of the immensity of the canyon walls. ~ The rushing waters create and re-create these canyons every single time it rains hard! This is why, a native guide is a must! ...

Emerald Isles is my impression a friend's visit a few years ago. Such fun it was to sit and go through her album, and watch her animated facial expressions, crowned with her glorious, long red tresses! She spoke of standing on the edge of the green and white cliffs, overlooking the sea, looking down and watching the waves pound the land. ~ Do you have a favorite place you have visited?
